Resident Case Submission
New this year, PDA will be accepting resident case submissions for Spring Training 2019 to be held April 6 in Las Vegas, NV. Four (4) cases will be selected for presentation among those submitted.
Submission to be a presenter is open to residents in recognized dermatology residency programs from the following US states: Arizona, California, Colorado, Kansas, Montana, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Oregon, Texas, Utah, and Washington as well as the Western Canada provinces of British Columbia and Alberta.
Submitted cases should have good teaching value and good clinical slides. All case submissions must be done online. Please note that a case abstract and clinical photos are required as part of the submission, not any potential presentation slides. Submissions are limited to one (1) per presenter - please send us your best case!
The submission deadline is March 1, 2019. Please note that residents should receive a confirmation email immediately after submission of the case online. If this email is not received within 5 minutes of your submission, please contact PDA at firstname.lastname@example.org. Case presenters will be notified by March 15, 2019.
Your presentation of this case should not exceed 6 minutes total which includes time for one or two questions from the audience. The moderator is instructed to cut you off if you exceed that time allotment. At the podium, you will have a microphone, laser pointer, wireless slide remote, speaker timer and a large confidence monitor right in front of the podium so that you can see exactly what is being projected onto the screen (and so you don't need to "speak to the screen").
Reimbursement for hotel accommodations and travel expenses will not be provided for this meeting.
Please note PDA also offers a roommate matching service to help residents. Please contact the PDA office at (888) 388-8815 or via email at email@example.com if you would like to share a room with another attendee (and split the cost of the room). Remember to indicate whether you are male or female and your anticipated arrival and departure dates.
